Was admitted in February 2026. Iโ€™m not sure why there are so many negative reviews. As someone who has been in a few different psychiatric hospitals, my best experience was at Princeton house. The social worker (Lauren) was amazing and really listened to me. I didnโ€™t agree with the meds the dr was trying to change me to, but he didnโ€™t force it on me and respected my decision. The food was the best Iโ€™ve had at a hospital. I was able to make connections with other patients and have support through them as well. If I ever need to go back to a psychiatric hospital, Princeton house would be my 1st choice

Iโ€™ve been to Princeton House twice, once in 2024 and once in 2026. The first experience I had here was pretty good. I felt that the psychiatrist was receptive to my needs and I felt comfortable going to the nurses with any issues. I felt like the nurses took the time to get to know me and were able to recognize if I was struggling and intervened when necessary. The techs were also overall good, besides 1 or 2 that seemed to be annoyed with having to do their job. Food was above average for the psych ward. The only person I didnโ€™t really get along with was my social worker; I expressed to her many times that I needed a higher level of care (preferably residential treatment), but she told me that didnโ€™t exist for mental health (it does-Iโ€™ve since attended 3) and put me in a php. Unfortunately, I ended up back in a different psych ward a few days upon discharge due to high lithium levels and SI/SH. Even though I ended up needing more help, I am grateful for this experience as I gained several diagnoses and made progress towards finding a medication regimen. The second time I attended Princeton House was very up and down. I was placed in the same wing (1), but the psychiatrist I had r

The most amazing facility to go to for psychiatric help, detox, co-occuring disorder, etc. They really care at PH. They go above and beyond to make everyone feel good. They're a very positive bunch making a very positive difference in the ๐ŸŒŽ. Unfortunately, they won't let me go back for what reason, I don't know. But, it's been a few years and I truly need the psychiatric help along with detox, ECT, the WHOLE nine yards. I need help. Im PLEADING/BEGGING whomever may see this at PH reaches out to me. Sincerely, Tom Sullivan.

I first received treatment at Penn Medicine in 2020 through a first-responder program while I was a police officer, to address mild depression. At that time, the experience was adequate and I felt it was helpful. In 2025, I returned to Penn Medicine for a very specific and limited purpose: to obtain a risk assessment that my former spouse had requested in family court related to visitation with my children. Penn Medicine advised me in advance that they could provide this assessment. Once admitted, however, my experience was entirely different and deeply concerning. I have cirrhosis and arrived with medications that had been properly prescribed by my specialist. I was not permitted to take my own medications and was instead given medications supplied by the facility, which I was told were equivalent. After approximately three days, I became seriously ill, experiencing severe cramping and other symptoms. I reported this to staff. By day five, due to continued illness, I refused to take any further medication provided by the facility. When I informed staff that I wished to leave because I was not receiving appropriate medical care, I was told that discharge would take 48 hours. I a

Came here in January of 2026 because the symptoms of my endometriosis were becoming too much, and I thought my pain would never go away. My psychiatrist recommended this place to me, and has since regretted his decision based on the abysmal care I received. I had laparoscopic excision of endometriosis in September, and am still dealing with some pretty intense complications. My heating pad is one of the only things that helps, and I wrote it down as a medical device. They wouldnโ€™t even allow supervised usage. I even woke up one morning to my 1on1 USING HER OWN HEATED BLANKET IN FRONT OF ME. She then had the nerve to tell me to โ€œstop cussingโ€ even though I wasnโ€™t cursing at her just about how much pain I was in and that it felt cruel to use something in front of me that would help relieve my pain that was out of reach. Fast forward to my appointment with the lovely Dr. Muhammad. Not only did he Google endometriosis in front of me and name the first few things that โ€œcanโ€ help that Iโ€™ve already tried, but he told me to- get this- โ€œCBT THE PAIN AWAYโ€ as if my organs werenโ€™t tethered together by my disease. He then put me on LITHIUM on the first session, then had the brain to recommend
